Job Description

ABOUT fu:di

Ridiculously tasty, feel-good food. Crafted by chefs, backed by science.

We hack everyday recipes, replacing sugar with plant-based sweetener, swapping seed oils with healthier alternatives and reducing carbs – so you can go with and not without.

We believe eating healthily and eating well can be one and the same. Whether you’re living with diabetes, starting a ketogenic diet, reducing your sugar intake or just looking for a banging new ketchup for your burgers, we’re here for you.

Improving the metabolic health of the world – one slurp, bite or crunch at a time.

The world is facing a metabolic health epidemic. Obesity is set to double in the next decade. Alzheimer’s, Type 2 diabetes, fatty liver and heart diseases are on the rise. Mental health issues are increasingly common. The food we eat (often packed full of carbs and sugar) is largely to blame.

Fortunately, the solution is clear. Keeping your carb intake down, whilst cutting out sugar and seed oils has been scientifically proven to improve your all-round metabolic health. That’s where we come in.

We have one simple ambition - improve the metabolic health of the world. Our founders - Tom, Ben & Ioana – realised that with years of experience & knowledge in their respective fields, they had the ingredients to build a brand that could make a real difference. We’ve brought science and food together to create a range of delicious, healthy products, enabling you to enjoy the complete “foodie experience”.

A ketchup that you can dip, dollop or dunk ‘til your heart’s content - that nostalgic h***z experience, just without the inevitable sugar crash. Mayos that are full of flavour, not seed oils. Salad dressings that will take you straight back to your favourite French bistro, Greek taverna or Dorset picnic, without spiking your blood glucose levels. No compromise just joy. We want to kickstart a new generation of health, shining a light on the dark side of household staples and offering clean alternatives that hero flavour, flavour, flavour.

We’re an ambitious bunch who want to change the world and make a real difference to people’s lives.

Job Description:

At Purpose Driven Foods (PDF), we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires our audience. We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverables. The candidate should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.

We have an ambitious NPD schedule over the next 18 months and this role is vital for us visualising all new products in the best manner.

Our first brand, fu:di, has a wide range of categories to expand into - each requiring their own look and feel. We are also developing multiple new brands for launch in the next few years - this design role will play a major part in bringing these brands to life.

• To give fu:di (and any future brand launches) their own clear look and feel. We’re building brands that people will connect with on an emotive level and we need someone who can really bring this to life.

• Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualise and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.

• Work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects.

• Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.

• Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategise with the PDF team on a wide range of materials that may include product design, labels, shipping boxes, web pages, presentations, signage, newsletters, brand merchandise and marketing materials.

• Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity.

• Develop concepts by hand or with software and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of colour, text, font style, imagery, and layout.

• Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system.

• Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications.
