Job Description
The studio of a contemporary artist based in Shoreditch is looking for a junior graphic designer to add to the Design team.
This role will support the artist Charlotte Colbert’s vision across a wide range of creative projects, working closely with the artist, the Creative Director, and her support team. The role will contribute to both existing creative and new work, spanning design, marketing, and presentation projects, from concept development and mock-ups to merchandise, social media content, and exhibition materials which all aligned with the artist’s overall vision.
We are looking for someone with a background in graphic design / art and a portfolio that demonstrates creativity, attention to detail, and a strong eye for aesthetics. This is a collaborative and supportive studio environment where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and grow with the team. As a small team, we value a proactive mindset, a positive attitude, and openness to collaboration. While the role will always be working towards the conception of the artist, we appreciate creative input and a good eye for aesthetics will be valued.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the artist and creative team to develop design concepts, sketches, and mock-ups that reflect the artistic vision
• Design visual assets for print and digital use, including posters, brochures, social media content, invitations, and promotional materials
• Create exhibition-related materials such as booklets, editorial layouts, presentation decks, and display mock-ups
• Design merchandise and packaging (e.g. pins, tote bags, limited-edition items)
• Support the artist’s online presence through engaging digital and social media graphics
• Capture and edit product photography of artworks and editions, ensuring files are well-organised and updated
• Maintain and update website graphics, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms
• Provide general design support to the team as needed
Requirements:
• Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Some drawing skills would be beneficial, with the ability to sketch or illustrate concepts as required.
• This is a full-time, on-site role, based at our Shoreditch studio (Monday to Friday).
• Knowledge of Premiere Pro and/or 3D software is a plus
• Mandarin speaking would be a bonus
