ROLE OVERVIEW

The Creative Strategist serves as a pivotal link between the foundational brand strategy and its tangible creative execution, ensuring a seamless and cohesive narrative across all touchpoints. This role is instrumental in translating strategic objectives into compelling storytelling and culturally resonant creative assets. By fostering strong collaboration between the strategy and creative teams, the Creative Strategist ensures that campaigns and brand initiatives are not only aesthetically impactful but also strategically sound and deeply connected to relevant cultural shifts.

This multifaceted individual will possess a robust blend of strategic acumen, a keen awareness of emerging cultural and design trends, and exceptional communication abilities. Their strategic prowess will enable them to dissect complex challenges and develop innovative solutions, while their understanding of contemporary trends will ensure the brand remains fresh, relevant, and engaging. Furthermore, their superior communication skills are essential for effectively articulating strategic insights to internal teams, guiding creative development, and delivering persuasive and insightful presentations to clients.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day to day responsibility driving the strategy across multiple projects & lead the development and presentation of data-driven strategies and with compelling narratives for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strategic alignment and creative clarity - facilitate ideation sessions and cross-team collaboration for concept creation.
  • Extract actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative audience data to inform decision making.
  • Developing strategic frameworks, creative briefs, pitch decks, and rollout strategies.
  • Track and translate cultural and industry trends adding relevant insights in to projects.
  • Copywriting for varied formats including campaigns, client decks, and narratives.
  • Guide pitch development and campaign strategies for both prospective and current clients.
  • Review creative execution to ensure alignment with the brand’s voice and commercial goals.
  • Analyse data and insights to inform approach.
  • Drive concept development for campaigns, brand activations, and content experiences.
  • Ensure cultural fluency across creative disciplines (fashion, digital design, art, social, culture).
  • Understanding audiences, consumer touchpoints and make recommendations on the most impactful interactions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years experience in boutique branding or creative studios, with cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, digital marketing, influencer partnerships.
  • Awareness and integration of DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) and sustainability in brand communications.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Keynote and Figma.
  • Familiarity with trend forecasting tools (e.g. WGSN, Trendwatching) and AI-powered research tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Midjourney).
  • Capability to support both ongoing and pitch-based work, adapting style and tone to different brand sectors.
  • Adept at working under pressure and solution oriented, with an ability to take ownership of a project and justify strategic decisions.
