Seasoned Illustrator

IDEO has long been at the forefront of creating change through design – from designing the first manufacturable mouse for Apple to advancing the practice of human centred design.

IDEO’s ERG’s (employee resource groups) exist to offer a safe place for thought, narrative, and opportunity for diverse people within the IDEO community.

IDEO is looking for an illustrator to create a mural for their San Francisco studio, known as The Lion Building.

This project is about visibility, celebration and community. We are honouring three Black design leaders in the mural, which will be a story of ‘giving them their flowers’ – a tribute to these leaders for opening the way for diverse people within the design industry.

We are looking for an illustrator to bring their own style and flair to this mural, and will consider most illustration styles. This could be anything from collage and cut-out to graphic and painterly. The illustrator will be illustrating flowers, handwriting, and collage material around a character.

We’re looking for a seasoned illustrator (ideally mid-senior), who has experience working to a brief, is fully capable in Adobe CC, and who has experience producing editorial print and graphics for a built environment experience.
