Job Description
Bompas & Parr are seeking an ideas-led Multi-Disciplinary Creative with a strong foundation in applied graphic design, visual storytelling, and experiential event production. This role is a hybrid position designed for a creatively ambitious designer who can translate concepts into compelling graphic, digital, and physical event outputs.
You will be responsible for designing, producing, and executing high-impact visual and experiential elements for events, exhibitions, and brand activations. This role blends artistic flair with strategic thinking to create memorable, immersive experiences that connect with audiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing aesthetic design with practical, logistics-driven problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Conception & Design: Create graphic design and visual assets from concept through to final delivery. Produce complex 2D/3D design proposals, including sketches, mood boards, material palettes, and 3D renderings.
- Experiential & Scenic Design: Support the design experiences, from pop-up activations, to LBE’s, considering spatial planning and storytelling through structures and objects.
- Art Direction & Visual Storytelling: Support art direction and image-making, including concepts, treatments, and production. Translate briefs and initial ideas into clear visual layouts and design assets.
- Brand Integration: Ensure all visual collateral (signage, digital screens, print materials, presentations) adheres to client brand guidelines and Bompas & Parr’s brand aesthetics.
- Multimedia Production: Produce graphic design work across digital, print, and experiential formats. Create and edit video content, motion graphics, and audio-visual elements for event presentations.
- Technical Art Direction: Work with Design Director to develop technical drawings and oversee the fabrication of set designs (joinery, lighting, AV).
- On-site Coordination: Assist with on-site delivery and supervise the load-in, build, and derig of event installations to ensure the final output matches the design concept.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Develop visual decks and mood boards for proposals and client presentations. Present creative concepts to clients and stakeholders, receiving feedback and iterating designs under tight deadlines.
- Studio Culture: Research and share cultural and visual inspiration with the wider studio. Manage tasks across multiple projects with guidance from senior team members.
About You
Essential Experience & Skills
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role within an event or creative agency.
- Strong applied graphic design skills with a concept-led portfolio showcasing a proven track record in both 2D (graphics) and 3D (scenic/spatial) design.
- Live event or experiential design exposure, with experience taking projects from ideation to production.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud and 3D modeling tools.
- Understanding of real-world design and production constraints, including lighting, rigging, audio-visual technology, and print production.
- Ability to sketch and communicate ideas clearly.

Desirable Experience
- Film or moving image experience.
- Photography experience.
- Familiarity with AI and emerging creative technologies.

- To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required.
- To be a passionate advocate for Bompas & Parr, speaking knowledgeably about our work and supporting the studio’s principal aims.
- To communicate regularly and effectively with the Directors and to seek support from appropriate staff at the earliest opportunity should problems arise.
