Senior Resource Manager / Workflow Manager
Job Description
We’re an ambitious, fast-growing studio and we’re looking for a smart, proactive Senior Resource Manager to bring structure and a sense of calm to our processes and team. This role is pivotal in making the agency run smoothly. You’ll take the lead on managing how projects move through the studio (across strategy, creative, design and production) partnering with department heads and account teams to ensure projects are resourced effectively and delivered on time. You'll be the bridge between projects and teams - solving problems, managing pinch points, and ensuring we balance quality output with realistic and sustainable team workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the weekly and longer-term resource plan across all live and upcoming projects
- Lead weekly workflow meetings with account leads and department heads
- Manage day-to-day scheduling across departments
- Maintain a clear view of capacity, flagging overbooking and underutilisation
- Source, book and onboard freelance talent when required
- Manage internal resource and freelance budgets against project scopes
- Track team utilisation and help build longer-term capacity planning
- Implement and optimise resource management tools and workflows
- Work with finance and account team to reconcile freelance/contractor costs
About You
- 4–6+ years’ experience in a similar role within a creative/design agency or similar
- A natural problem-solver who enjoys collaboration and lateral thinking
- Highly organised and used to working in high-paced environments
- Adept in studio resource management and scheduling
- Comfortable navigating multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Calm under pressure with a sharp attention to detail
- Proficient with resource planning tools
- Inquisitive about how we can harness technology to improve processes
- Confident working across project types — from brand to campaigns and digital
- Comfortable leading meetings and rolling up your sleeves
