Job Description

You will be mainly based in the XL Recordings’ Visual Department, with close liaison with the Beggars Group Global Art team, and working a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

We create and deliver full creative campaigns with our artists.

As a designer you will work on the development and delivery of our campaigns and play an important role in bringing our projects to life.

Working closely with our team of designers, art directors and creative heads you will be responsible for producing designs and artwork across various mediums including print and digital.

You will take concepts, briefs and designs from the team and our artists and execute their brands consistently across all projects

The role will include:

Collaborating with the Visual Depts and wider team to understand project requirements and objectives.

Collaborating with the art team to adapt project creative and artwork to a variety of formats - preparing assets for print and digital.

Assisting in rolling out project marketing across a wide range of formats (outdoor marketing, retail, merch, POS, mock-ups, social formats, website, digital banners)

Ensuring consistency in branding and messaging across all assets

Creating project decks and style guides to help translate project creative to the wider team

Carrying out research for visual keys, moodboards and references

Developing and producing assets for touring & events (posters, marketing and merch)

Preparing print-ready files and when necessary, liaise with external suppliers for production

Managing work from external suppliers and artworking to our templates and print spec.

Managing timelines and deadlines efficiently

Requirements:

You will have at least 2 years previous experience as a designer/artworker

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Keynote / Office Word / PowerPoint software.

Proficiency in print/digital production and ability to produce accurate print-ready and digital artwork across a variety of formats

Strong understanding of design principles (typography and layout etc)

Ability to deliver progressive and innovative designs

Excellent retouching skills

Advanced Illustration skills

An exceptional eye for detail and spotting mistakes / errors

Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently to tight deadlines

Demonstrate experience with design and artwork across campaigns - from print production to digital marketing and social content.

Good communication skills are essential
