The Photography Foundation is a registered charity that works to diversify and improve access to photography careers through education, creative connections, and knowledge sharing. We use photography as a tool for positive change and a skill for life through our rolling six-month training programme, public engagement programme and educational workshops. The Role
The Digital Producer will support the delivery of engaging and effective communications across The Photography Foundation’s channels, with the aim of amplifying our mission and expanding our reach. The ideal candidate will be an expert in multimedia production - especially photography-focused storytelling - and will have a strong understanding of content strategy across digital platforms.
Digital and organic social media:
- Manage the Foundation’s digital channels including the website, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and email newsletters
- Develop and maintain a social media content calendar which supports our MarComms strategy
- Contribute to the delivery of multi-channel campaigns, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to create assets and meet deadlines
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on content performance, identifying opportunities for growth and engagement
Content creation and content management:
- Work with the Senior Marketing & Comms Manager to research, draft, and edit compelling content for the Foundation’s channels
- Support the reimagining of existing content to ensure messaging is fresh, relevant, and audience-led
- Collate and maintain a library of case studies, stories, and assets
- Work with the Senior Marketing & Comms Manager to ensure brand voice and tone are consistently applied across all communications
Monitoring and evaluation:
- Gather engagement and performance metrics from all channels
- Provide regular reports to the Senior Marketing & Comms Manager and feed into the wider strategy for the Foundation
- Suggest improvements to optimise performance and impact
About You
Must haves:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in digital content production, preferably in the arts, photography, or nonprofit sectors
- Demonstrated expertise in visual storytelling, particularly with photography
- Proficiency with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom), Canva, or similar
- Proven understanding of social media platforms, content trends, and digital audience growth strategies
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CMS and email marketing platforms
- Excellent communication, editorial, and project management skills
- Passion for photography, visual arts, and cultural storytelling
Nice to have but not essential:
- Experience using GA4 and Google Ad Grant for non-profits
- An understanding of branding
- Experience working with volunteers
