Job Description

The Role

As a Junior Graphic Designer at Eric Parry Architects, you will be a part of the in-house Graphic Design team. With a passion for the creative process the team pride themselves on producing visually stunning designs and you will be a key contributor in supporting our architecture teams. You will collaborate with multiple teams across the practice and you will also have the opportunity to help run the social media channels.

Aside from our day to day in-house graphics, we are also interested in exploring the common grounds between graphics and architecture. The Graphic Design team have collaborated closely with architects and manufacturers to create lasting pieces within our built environment. Most of these projects have been typographically lead such as a war memorial, wayfinding and cycle store graphics.

Key Responsibilities

PR & Graphics Assistance

• Contribution to the maintenance of practice collateral like brochures, case studies, website

• Be a brand guardian, providing a consistency of style and tone across all marketing channels

• Creating visually appealing PowerPoint presentations and decks for the architectural teams and Directors as required, including internal communications.

• Work alongside the architecture teams to prepare diagrams, illustrations, and infographics to support high quality bid documents and project reports

• Support with award entries and graphic layouts

• Assist with studio graphics and in-house exhibition and event design

• Ensuring design and production deadlines are met with a high level of accuracy

• Other ad-hoc design requirements such as invitations, events and photo editing

Social Media Coordination

• Collaborate with the team to create high quality engaging content for social media posts

• Work with our social media scheduling software to post pre-approved items

• Promote events across social media platforms

• Keep abreast of new social media developments across all social media platforms

Key Skills and Experience

• Typically requires a degree or diploma in graphic design, visual comms or a related field or equivalent experience

• Software proficiency - knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) essential

• Effective communication skills; both verbal and visual skills to convey design concepts

• Knowledge of social media trends and emerging platforms

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
