Overview

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role lies at the core of The HudsonBec Group. Your key responsibility is to ensure smooth running of our studio in terms of all operational processes as well as drive initiatives related to culture, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), sustainability, data protection & GDPR in the workplace, IT and Health & Safety. You will be supported by a full-time team assistant/receptionist .

The HudsonBec Group is made up of four companies – It’s Nice That, Anyways Creative, Creative Lives in Progress and If You Could Jobs.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations

  • Devise, deliver and review group wide and studio management process strategy
  • Regular audit of the HudsonBec Group IT systems, data compliance and processes/systems, including our intranet
  • Lead IT and software strategy for the group (supported by an external IT supplier)
  • Lead delivery of one-off, large group-wide projects (for example studio move or renovation)
  • Assisting with high level organisation for Co-CEOs

Studio Management

  • Leadership of studio management function
  • Manage, delegate and review tasks with studio team
  • Set, manage and review studio budgets, suppliers and contracts
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers

Working Culture

  • Lead initiatives to promote positive working environment and group-wide wellbeing
  • Lead cultural, sustainability and DEI strategy (with HR) – overseeing delivery of all projects and initiatives

Compliance

  • Maintain appropriate insurance
  • Serve as designated data officer and maintain GDPR compliance
  • Monitor Health and Safety Law, Fire Safety Law and implement and review best practices
  • Provide advice and support on health and safety matters
  • Undertake formal risk assessments

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience of project management and business operations (including data, IT, sustainability and DEI)
  • Experience and understanding of creative industry
  • Experience and understanding of studio management
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and positive
  • Strong attention to detail and experience of ensuring detailed compliance monitoring
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with senior leadership group and wider workforce
  • A clear passion for the creative industry and enabling opportunities for others

Details

  • Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 per annum (DOE)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am — 6pm (hybrid working)
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: 37-39 Kingsway, London, WC2B 6TP.
