We are known for creating artful and deeply engaging retail and experiences for global sports and fashion brands, but our offering extends to creative strategy, product and campaign conception, multi-media art direction and interior design.
Role Overview
In response to recent and planned growth, Hotel Creative are hiring a Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager in processing and maintaining accurate and timely financial records. Adhering to internal controls and assisting with the preparation of various reports.
Personal Specification
This role is for someone who’s both detail-oriented and proactive. Someone with a strong head for numbers and a genuine interest in how good financial processes can help the wider business thrive.
As someone who is well organised & reliable you should be able to manage multiple tasks while keeping a close eye on accuracy, and you must be able to handle sensitive information such as salaries, budgets and bank details with complete trustworthiness and discretion.
Core Responsibilities
+ Accounts payable: Accurately process incoming supplier invoices using our dedicated software ( Payhawk / Xero ) and ensure they are correctly coded to the general ledger.
+ Accounts receivable: Assist with creating, issuing and processing sales invoices to clients.
+ Expenses: Managing & liaising stakeholders to get receipts in on time.
+ Payment runs: Assist in preparing and initiating regular payment runs.
+ Credit card reconciliation: Monitor & Assist with reconciliation of credit card expenses (Payhawk)
+ Filing and archiving: Maintain an organised and secure filing system for all financial documentation to ensure a clear audit trail.
+ Bank reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements with the company's internal accounts.
+ General support: Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the Finance Manage
Essential Requirements
+ Results driven with an active interest in accounting / finance.
+ Good grasp of standard Office software including Excel / google sheets.
+ Professional approach, highly organized and able to prioritise tasks
+ Can do attitude — a doer, prepared to roll sleeves and get stuck in
+ Confident & articulate — must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent timekeeping, reliable and trustworthy
+ UK based with indefinite leave to remain
+ Comfortable working in a studio environment 5 days a week. This is strictly an in-studio role. Hybrid working is not an option.
Advantageous
+ Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage or Quickbooks.
+ Experience working in a previous financial role.
+ Part-Qualified in accountancy or at the start of your professional studies.
