This is an exciting opportunity for a User Interface Designer to play a key role in a nurturing, creative environment and have the chance to become part of exciting change at University of the Arts London (UAL).

The Brand and Creative Services team at University of the Arts London is pivoting. Against the backdrop of Covid-19 and challenges for our sector, our organisation needs to evolve to remain at the forefront of delivering, enabling and nurturing world class creative education.

We recognise and understand the urgency of this requirement and want to drive changes from the heart of the University. As a UI Designer, you will be part of this by responding creatively to digital design briefs which vary from iterating our digital design system– ensuring continuity, usability and accessibility, page and product UI design, to design thinking to help solve strategic challenges and improve our processes. Leading a team of juniors and managing stakeholders is key to this role.

Your profile

With a degree or professional qualification in User Interface or graphic design or a relevant discipline and demonstrable experience in Figma and JIRA, the successful candidate will be a design focused, organised, creative problem solver who will report into the Design Lead – Brand, and manage Arts Temps Junior designers as and when we build a team.

You will be an energetic team player who gets as excited about the big picture as well as the small details, diligent - not afraid of rolling their sleeves up and who has previous experience in a similar role.
