Job Description

About Cadence

Cadence is a strategic digital product and platform agency. We work with premium brands, sports organisations and hospitality businesses to design and build digital experiences that are genuinely excellent - the kind that require both strategic clarity and technical depth to get right.

We do not operate as a generalist studio or a dev shop. We focus on a small number of sectors, work closely with our clients, and deliver things that last. Our in-house team of designers and engineers collaborate directly on every project, and we hold the output to a high standard.

We are growing, and we are looking for the right designer to grow with us.

The Role

We are looking for a UX / UI Designer to join the Cadence team. We are open to candidates anywhere from one year of experience through to mid-level - what matters most to us is how you think, how you work, and whether you are the right fit for us.

You will work across client projects in sport, hospitality, luxury and real estate - helping to design digital presences that are both beautifully resolved and built to perform. You will contribute to design systems, produce assets across digital channels, and bring ideas to the table. You will be supported, challenged, and given real room to develop.

We operate a flexible working from home policy with one to two days in the office per week encouraged. If you are based outside London, we are happy to discuss arrangements at interview.

You

You care about design and you care about getting it right. You have a good eye, you are comfortable working across multiple live projects simultaneously, and you can take a premium brand and translate it into a digital experience that genuinely works for the people using it.

You know your way around Figma. You understand how components and design systems function. You take the detail seriously. You are curious, and you see new tools - including AI - as an opportunity to do better work rather than a threat to the craft.

You communicate clearly. You can hold your own when presenting work, whether to a teammate or a client. You are the kind of person who notices when something is slightly off and wants to fix it.

What You Bring

  • Figma skills, including components, auto layout and design systems
  • The ability to translate brand guidelines into digital platforms with clarity and precision
  • An understanding of micro animations and interactions, and how they enhance user experience
  • Good visual communication: typography, hierarchy, and attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written English, and the confidence to present your work clearly
  • Genuine curiosity and a desire to keep developing
  • An awareness of AI tools in design workflows and how to use them well

Nice to Have

  • Experience with animation software such as After Effects
  • A background in or exposure to brand design
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools, including Claude
  • An interest in sport, particularly football — it fits well with the clients we work with
