What does the role entail?

Project Management:

As the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for high priority retainer clients and one-off projects. The core responsibility of the role will be managing all aspects of a project life cycle to ensure everything runs smoothly. This includes liaising with clients, leading on creative pitch decks, briefing designers, overseeing asset creation, handling feedback, and ensuring all delivery deadlines are met.

Organisation and problem solving are important requirements for this position. We have a number of retainer clients and new projects coming in daily, so the ability to prioritise effectively and balance multiple projects and clients is essential.

It is also key that you have a great eye for detail. You must be able to spot any errors in assets such as spelling mistakes, incorrect audio or visuals, etc. The Operations team is the safety net between the clients and designers, and it is our responsibility to ensure that briefs are met and all assets are of a high standard.

Operations Team Management:

You will report directly to the Head Of Creative Operations, who is responsible for the overall management of both the Operations and Design teams. Part of your role will be to update the Head Of Creative Operations on the status of retainers, important client information, as well as the overall workload of the Operations and Design teams.

You will be responsible for delegating client projects to the Project Manager and Junior Project manager, overseeing their projects and assisting them when necessary, with support from the Head Of Creative Operations.

Designer Management:

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be the point person coordinating the work between the clients and designers. It’s crucial that all of the details of a brief are fully communicated to the designers so that they can carry out their tasks efficiently. This includes clarifying questions on behalf of the designers, and giving internal feedback on assets to ensure they meet the brief and are of top quality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for ensuring smooth client communication and providing clear and concise feedback to the designers.

In addition, you would be responsible for managing the daily client workloads of the designers, with support from the Head Of Creative Operations. This involves meetings with the Operations team daily to update on all current projects and structure the designer’s workloads. During these meetings you will be reporting on the statuses of the projects you are handling (flagging delays or increase of scope, etc).

It’s important to understand how assets are created when dealing with both clients and designers. Therefore you should be familiar with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro. Design experience is not essential but would be helpful.
