The role
Shoreditch Design is a small, fast-paced creative agency working across UI, UX, branding, video and digital experiences.
We’re looking for a Business & Operations Manager to help us run the agency better as we grow. This is a hands-on role for someone organised, curious and commercially minded, who enjoys being close to both delivery and growth.
You’ll sit at the centre of the agency, supporting smooth operations while also helping inbound opportunities turn into well-scoped, profitable projects.
What you’ll be doing
Operations & Ways of Working
- Supporting and improving how projects are run day to day
- Documenting and refining internal processes
- Keeping tools, workflows and information organised and up to date
- Spotting small issues early and helping fix them
Resourcing & Team Allocation
- Planning who works on what, and when
- Balancing workloads across the team
- Tracking capacity to ensure projects are staffed properly
- Supporting freelancer planning when needed
Project & Financial Support
- Owning timesheets and ensuring they’re completed accurately
- Tracking project budgets, utilisation and profitability
- Flagging risks, overruns or resourcing gaps early
- Supporting realistic timelines and pricing for new projects
Client & Account Management
- Acting as a point of contact for clients once projects are live
- Keeping communication clear, organised and proactive
- Making sure feedback, actions and next steps are captured
- Supporting repeat work and long-term client relationships
Business Development & Pitches
- Managing and responding to inbound enquiries
- Qualifying leads and gathering requirements before pitches
- Supporting the preparation of proposals, pricing and timelines
- Helping organise and run pitch meetings
- Following up opportunities and keeping momentum moving
- Keeping the pipeline and CRM clean and accurate
Commercial & Planning Support
- Supporting forecasting and revenue planning
- Feeding insights from delivery back into pricing and scoping
- Helping leadership understand what work is profitable and why
What we’re looking for
Experience
- 0–2 years experience in operations, project coordination, account management or commercial support
- Experience in a creative, digital or design environment is a bonus
Skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with numbers and commercial data
- Confident communicator with clients and internal teams
- Interest in UI, UX, branding and digital design
Tools
- Comfortable using ClickUp, Slack, Gmail and Google Docs
- Open to learning Figma and Pitch for proposals and decks

Salary & progression
Base salary: £28k–£37k depending on experience
Bonus: Up to £10k–£15k based on operational and commercial targets
OTE:
£38k–£52k
Clear progression into a Business Manager / Operations Lead role as the agency grows
