SCREENSHOT Media is hiring a Junior Social Video Editor who will work directly under our Head of Video, alongside our Video team in the editing of our short and medium format content across Facebook Watch, YouTube, and Snapchat shows.

Being a Junior Social Video Editor at SCREENSHOT Media means delivering best in class video content across our channels and constantly looking for entertaining and informative content!
In your role as Junior Social Video Editor you’ll be working hand in hand with the Video and Social teams to edit, schedule and publish engaging viral videos using both UGC, and original footage.
As a Junior Social Video Editor within SCREENSHOT Media’s video department, you’ll want to keep pushing yourself to create viral videos!
Your tasks and responsibilities 😃
- Editing, scheduling and publishing 4-5 videos a week between our Snapchat, YouTube, and Facebook Watch shows and content
- Ensure daily and weekly workload is delivered on time and in line with our publishing schedule
- Support the video team in ideating and creating new video concepts as well as sourcing content
- Source UGC clips from video licensing companies
- Make sure your videos are edited within the brand TOV and editorial guidelines
- Work with the video team to analyse data and implement new strategies in order to grow performance
- Devise fresh, exciting and unique videos to help capture a wider audience across our shows and channels
- Update status reports for our weekly and monthly targets across views, and reach
- Identify any issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- Ensure content meets editorial, ethical and legal standards and is in line with SCREENSHOT Media’s brand and tone of voice.
- Potential to liaise and run interviews with talents
- Writing relevant and engaging narrative for Facebook Watch videos
- Potential to write scripts for our Snapchat shows
Role skills and requirements ✅
- 6-12 months of personal experience editing video, or interning as a video editor in a media publisher, creative agency, or production company
- Excellent abilities across Adobe Creative Suite, with particular avid skills in Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro
- Passionate about entertainment, social media trends, and already paying attention to breaking stories across news and entertainment, celebrity knowledge is a plus
- Strong knowledge of computer software that is related to web design, video editing, and graphic design.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- You have a quick-thinking ability and thrive in fast-paced environments
- You are able to collaborate within a team and are an effective communicator
- You are able to ideate and oversee the production of original scripts for our shows
- You always take initiative when necessary and enjoy working with quick turnaround timelines
- You are detail-oriented and love working with task management programmes
What we offer ✨
- This position is £23,000 - £24,000 per annum
- Candidates must be London based
- A hybrid WFH and office culture. We have a beautiful office in Shoreditch and ask our team to come in a minimum of twice a week. We totally get it that after Covid, no one wants to be in the office 5 days a week, but at the same time know that we’re best when we’re bouncing off of each other and brainstorming together.
- Our working hours are from 9am to 6pm.
