JOB TITLE: Mid-Weight Designer

REPORTS TO: Senior Graphic Designer

JOB PURPOSE

Designer is responsible for assisting in the creation and execution of the visual identity for the Anthropologie brand. This position requires a team player with a hands-on approach to support the multiple creative projects that occur within the Art Department. The Graphic Designer focuses on production and assistance to Art Department team with research, branding, print ready file preparation and presentations. This position offers opportunities for growth and creative development

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design up to 20 email blasts each month focused on marketing the brand to customers.

• Design additional triggered emails and in-house newsletters, testing and coding the emails

• Design creative for promotional, seasonal, in-store and campaign work.

• Design weekly/biweekly home page and app updates, biweekly category page updates.

• Coordinate with the Web Merchandiser to ensure featured products are in stock.

• Keep up to date with Anthropologie US trends and interpret accordingly including design direction and ensuring an identity and cultural awareness of the EU customer.

• Liaise with the US office when necessary to gather information and or assets.

• Concept and complete online features or special projects

• Supporting the PR and Marketing team with files (events assets, look books, press releases, additional printed collateral)

• Set up ready-to-print documents and liaise with printers

• Support the Art Director with ad hoc projects

• Support the Social Content team with Paid Ads and creative Instagram Stories

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills

• Ability to confidently work across print and digital channels seamlessly

• Ability to generate multiple and distinct design concepts and receive constructive feedback

• Ability to present your work in a well-articulated, professional manner

• Excellent typographic skills and the ability to work in many different styles

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Being aware of competitor products and industry trends

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (OS X)

• Knowledge of digital prepress and an understanding of HTML

• Brand appropriate illustration skills and additional video editing and animation would be a bonus.

• A portfolio that shows a strong ability to design for digital and print.
