Job Description

We're looking for an experienced JR-MW Art Director to pair up with one of our talented and lovely Copywriters and join the Mother Family on a perm contract.

ABOUT US:

Mother is one of the world’s most respected, independent creative companies. We started around one table with three people, all of whom shared the washing up. 27 years on, Mother has offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Singapore and Berlin. From fast moving retailers and brands with global scale, to local jewels with local needs; we create ideas that are embraced by popular culture and deliver more powerfully as a result. Our ambition is to be a destination for the most creative minds in the world.

Our mission is to make the best work we can, have fun doing it, earn a living, and make our children proud along the way.

We practise a 3-2 hybrid working model, with Monday & Friday being our optional WFH days.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Creative Team with your new partner, you are responsible for idea generation – working in to Creative Directors, and ultimately the agency’s CCO, to devise and develop original advertising & communication ideas that engage the target audience and address the client’s business problem. Responsible for the execution & production of these ideas to create campaigns in multiple channels and markets, across all the agency’s client roster.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS

  • 1-3yrs experience of working on live creative briefs alongside a copywriter, in an art direction role in a creative agency. This should be in addition to completing successful placements
  • Passionate about creativity, with a solid understanding of the creative process and roles
  • Able to draw on a strong foundation of Creative reference and inspiration
  • High level of vision and taste for art direction, aesthetics and design
  • Collaborative, and a genuine team player
  • Motivated, creatively ambitious, proactive and adaptable
  • Open, honest, effective communicator. Able to express an opinion, whilst being tactful and empathetic

You will need to have the right to work in the UK to be considered for this position.
