Midweight Designer
Job Description
ABOUT US
TDL is an award-winning, employee-owned design agency specialising in Information Design. We’re a team of creative thinkers on a mission to make information more understandable. By translating complex ideas into impactful visual solutions, we help our clients communicate with clarity and confidence.
Over the past 13 years, we’ve built a strong reputation for designing high-impact bids and tenders across sectors including government, transport, and healthcare. While this remains our niche, we also offer a broader range of services in digital, branding, and editorial design.
Our studio is tucked between Waterloo and London Bridge, with Borough Market, Southbank, and the Tate Modern just a short stroll away — the perfect setting to fuel our creativity.
We have a hybrid working model, typically working in our studio 2-3 days a week, but if you want to come into the studio more often, you will always have a desk here.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Midweight Designer | Hybrid Working | Starting Summer 2025 | Full Time Contract
You should have a passion for user-centric design – creating work that’s not only visually striking but also easy to understand. This is a varied and dynamic role where you’ll work across a broad range of sectors, so you’ll need the curiosity and skill to quickly grasp and visualise complex topics.
You’ll be joining a close-knit team of song bingo pros, film buffs, and foodies. We come from diverse backgrounds and bring different working styles and specialisms to the table, but we’re united by our core values: creative, innovative, motivated, empathetic, responsive, and reliable. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll support the team across a range of services – from bid design and diagramming to editorial design, animation artworking, and client presentations. - 4+ years of industry experience in a design role
- Strong creative flair with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – especially Illustrator and InDesign – with a solid approach to file organisation

- Confident using Apple Mac systems
- A collaborative team player who’s happy to share ideas and feedback
- Strong time management skills – able to juggle multiple projects and work well under pressure
Other desirable skills
- Experience designing bids and tenders, diagrams or corporate communications
- Skills in motion design, animation, or basic HTML/CSS
Any other creative or technical experience you think we should know about – we love hearing what makes people unique, so feel free to include any side projects or interests in your application
