People Manager
Job Description
We're looking for a People Manager who is proactive, and genuinely passionate about the team we have grown over the years. You'll be leading projects that will grow and develop our team, increase wellbeing, and develop our employer brand. You'll be the go-to for our team for HR advice and you’ll support our senior leadership team on best practice.
It's a really exciting opportunity to come in and build upon what we have worked hard on already; from our policies, processes and the frameworks we use. You'll be partnering with the leadership and management team to create a strategy that will be true to our values and will inspire our team at Animade.
Salary: £40,000+ depending on experience. We're flexible for the right person
Reporting to: Creative Operations Director
Level: Senior
Type: Full-time, permanent
Location: London, Old Street, 1-2 days per week in the studio (flexible)

You’re passionate about creating an engaging environment for people to thrive in and are experienced in creating and implementing HR strategies that align with our company’s goals and vision. With the ability to identify and nurture key stakeholders, you’re a strong communicator and great at understanding people’s needs, aspirations and potential. With a positive attitude, when faced with challenges, you’re always focused on delivering a solution to our team.

Effective communication and a keen eye for detail are a must, as well as excellent organisational skills – someone who is always thinking one step ahead, with a methodical approach.
Emotional intelligence and empathy is also really important; understanding and supporting how our creative team - from animators to producers to our ops team - think, learn and produce their best work, and tactfully applying People practices to complement that. You’ll need to carry out all People-related activities with diplomacy, fairness and sensitivity where needed.
What do you need to have?
● Strong People experience. Ideally you have worked as a Senior Advisor or People / HR Manager before
● Confidence and ability to undertake People practices and procedures independently
● Significant experience working with brands in a creative/digital, planning, media or social media agency
● Strong relationship builder to work with a variety of levels and teams within the business
● Strict confidentiality and discretion
● Excellent communication and organisational skills
What are you here to do?
Your key responsibilities are:
Communications
Managing all the internal comms for our employee experience. Whether that's new joiners, new initiatives or people leaving
Specialist Knowledge and Expertise
Partnering with all our hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. From sourcing to hiring; making sure we're following best practices for DEI throughout.
Deliver a full on-boarding service including delivering impactful new starter inductions
Leading on Diversity and Inclusion processes and initiatives for the company
Lead on our team growth strategy; from reviews, feedback, pay and promotions
Team relations
Be the person that people go to for support in all cases related to people
Oversee contracts and contractual agreements for new and existing employees
Ensure Employee Handbook is kept up to date with applicable laws and people best practice is carried out
Manage HR correspondence including variations to terms, maternity, disciplinary, probation and performance management letters/documents
