Who are we?

We’re Animade, and we believe in making the world a bit more characterful. We’re an animation studio based in London, UK. With a passion for design, illustration, animation and interactivity, Animade has grown to be a globally respected creative studio. Character is at the heart of everything we do. We create campaigns that inspire and delight, taking great care over the tiniest details—after all, it’s the little things that often make the biggest impression.

You

You’re passionate about creating an engaging environment for people to thrive in and are experienced in creating and implementing HR strategies that align with our company’s goals and vision. With the ability to identify and nurture key stakeholders, you’re a strong communicator and great at understanding people’s needs, aspirations and potential. With a positive attitude, when faced with challenges, you’re always focused on delivering a solution to our team.

At Animade, we believe that everyone has a part to play in our journey to becoming more inclusive – as creatives, as a studio and as an industry. We've implemented lots of changes throughout our company, from recruitment practices, to DE&I training and our All Ears event to name a few. We're looking for someone who'll be keen to work with us in creating an environment that is welcoming, safe and equitable for all.

Effective communication and a keen eye for detail are a must, as well as excellent organisational skills – someone who is always thinking one step ahead, with a methodical approach.

Emotional intelligence and empathy is also really important; understanding and supporting how our creative team - from animators to producers to our ops team - think, learn and produce their best work, and tactfully applying People practices to complement that. You’ll need to carry out all People-related activities with diplomacy, fairness and sensitivity where needed.

What do you need to have?

● Strong People experience. Ideally you have worked as a Senior Advisor or People / HR Manager before

● Confidence and ability to undertake People practices and procedures independently

● Significant experience working with brands in a creative/digital, planning, media or social media agency

● Strong relationship builder to work with a variety of levels and teams within the business

● Strict confidentiality and discretion

● Excellent communication and organisational skills

What are you here to do?

Your key responsibilities are:

Leading on Diversity and Inclusion processes and initiatives for the company

Lead on our team growth strategy; from reviews, feedback, pay and promotions

Team relations

Be the person that people go to for support in all cases related to people

Oversee contracts and contractual agreements for new and existing employees

Ensure Employee Handbook is kept up to date with applicable laws and people best practice is carried out

Manage HR correspondence including variations to terms, maternity, disciplinary, probation and performance management letters/documents

Benefits

Working at Animade offers the opportunity to make a real impact on a growing company with a great culture. Working with us, you’ll receive:

Generous holiday allowance which increases with your length of service

Pension scheme

Enhanced family friendly and sickness policies

Company EAP Programme

Training budget of up to £1,000 per year

Wellbeing budget of up to £200 per year

Winter Wednesdays (with shorter days in the winter months, we offer the option for people to take a longer lunch time to give more time to exercise and get outdoors in the sunshine).

Team away days and trips - we’ve previously been to Tuscany, Cornwall and Portugal

Friendly, open and welcoming company culture

Culture Initiatives driven by our Culture captains

We are committed to creating a truly inclusive culture to not only make Animade a better place to work but to foster an environment where everyone experiences a sense of belonging.
