Papier’s collection of stationery products, from notebooks & diaries to notecards and wedding invitations, is designed to feed curiosity and contemplation, to invite people to uncover the possibility of a blank page.
What's the job?
Papier is now looking for an exceptional Videographer to join the expanding in-house creative team. This is a new role reporting into the Brand Editor and working closely with the Art Director to support the business in elevating the voice of our brand through fun and exciting moving images used in all communication across our digital channels.
This role will lead the creation of best in class video across the Papier brand experience inclusive of campaigns, ecommerce, social and content shoots. We are looking for someone who has experience across product and lifestyle shoots. You should have a passion for video, a love of stationery, and a portfolio that demonstrates strong creative thinking, as well as technical know-how.
Based in our soon to launch creative studio, you will be an integral part of establishing our studio and its function, working closely with a talented team of creatives to deliver best in class content.
What will you do?
Day to day, you will:
- Create eye-catching and engaging video for use across the Papier digital channels, inclusive of homepage, social and ads.
- Help to shape the content process and workflow for campaigns, product launches, collections, partnerships and BAU projects.
- Contribute to conceptual exploration including mood boards and sketches prior to upcoming shoots, as well as being involved in some production.
- Deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment and work with the Creative Project Manager to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Working from briefs, you will create assets that reflect the provided moodboards or concepts, either working alone or collaboratively with the Brand Editor or Art Director.
- Shoot, edit and deliver Papier’s video content.
- Maintain consistency of quality across all videography.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt easily to changes in art direction, product design, and project execution.
- Maintain an awareness of emerging trends and new ideas and translating these into videography and communication.
- Work with the Creative Director and Brand Editor to maintain and evolve the Papier video style.
- Collaborate closely with our Photographer to deliver cohesive content across our site, paid and social channels.
- Establish Papier’s first in-house creative studio, working alongside the team to build out your equipment and set-up.
- Work with the Product Manager to incorporate video into the website - exploring new opportunities to present products in 3D onsite
Requirements
You will succeed in this role if you have:
- 4+ years relevant experience, with a proven track record of producing strong imagery for brands either in-house, agency or freelance, with a strong video portfolio to support.
- A creative eye and the ability to capture products in the best way possible through lighting, styling, and composition.
- A social first mindset, aware of the requirements to capture attention on these platforms.
- High attention to detail, organised & able to multi-task with good time management skills.
- Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightworks and other editing and post-production software standards within the field.
- Confident understanding and use of video cameras, lighting set-ups/equipment and studio environment, as well as ability to shoot using both natural and studio lighting.
- Excellent editing skills and ability to produce the desired tone and rhythm for a briefed video.
- The ability to follow and build upon our brand style and visual tone.
- The ability to conceptualise and execute mood, lifestyle, and product videography.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Stakeholder management skills, and you’re comfortable coordinating with multiple partners across multiple projects.
- Photography and animation skills are a plus, but not essential.
- Flexibility to react quickly to changing demands of the business.
- A love of stationery.
This role will require the majority of the time in the office or on locations, with the option to work from home when possible.
