Job Description

Who We Are

Boomkat is a specialist online music retailer and record label group established in 1998, with a long history working with some of the most interesting and pioneering independent and underground artists and labels in the world. Our website has a strong visual emphasis and we put a lot of effort into the presentation of the music we feature. We also have several inhouse record labels for which we design and manufacture physical product.

Job Description

The job is a demanding and dynamic combination of product photography and videography, working alongside an artworker in a creative team of two.

The position includes studio-based product photography, editing and layout design alongside filming and editing video content - usually with tight deadlines.

Although we are a commercial company, we are stridently non-corporate and are looking for an ambitious and creative candidate with a keen interest and strong knowledge of cultural trends and design/art history, with an ability to adapt and take a non-traditional approach to creative work when required. If you’re the sort of person who looks at art, photography and magazines, not just social media, this job might be a good fit for you.

We are based in central manchester and are looking for a candidate who lives locally / in the greater Manchester area, and are open to discuss both full time and part-time options (minimum 3 days a week) - please specify which would be most suitable for you.
