Job Description

Overview

Creative Lives in Progress is an inclusive creative careers resource, on a mission to transform the way emerging talent access, understand and connect with the industry.

We encourage greater transparency and representation within the creative working world by sharing advice and insight, highlighting entry-level opportunities, as well as hosting events that bring talent and industry together.

With that mission in mind, we are now looking for a passionate and proactive individual to come on board as an Events Producer, full-time. You’ll work collaboratively with the Creative Lives team to deliver our events programming, including events for our Company Partners.

Job Purpose

Last year we were thrilled to welcome hundreds of emerging creatives to Creative Lives events. We held networking events and workshops at Tate Britain; hosted Portfolio Reviews for Google Creative Lab and It’s Nice That; and had industry pros from the likes of Wieden+Kennedy, Nike, Spotify and more join our panels to help demystify creative jobs. In 2024, we’re looking to further expand our offering, allowing even more entry-level talent to connect both with industry and each other.

As Events Producer, you will work closely with the Events and Engagement team to oversee the successful production and delivery of our events programming, both online and in-person. You will be passionate about supporting entry-level creatives and producing engaging, accessible and impactful experiences for our attendees.

Tasks

Events

  • Work alongside the Creative Learning and Engagement Lead and Community and Events Project Manager to plan and effectively resource our activations calendar throughout the year.
  • Manage the production and delivery of our monthly in-person and digital activations, including our Portfolio Reviews, What is…?; and CLIP Networking events.
  • Manage the production and delivery of bespoke events and activations with our Company Partners.

Events: Project Management and Systems

  • Optimise our current systems, tools and processes with online and in-person accessibility in mind.
  • Maintain clear, consistent and effective communication with team members, freelancers and collaborators to keep events on schedule, and within budget.
  • Liaise directly with our event attendees and industry guests, from inviting creatives to events, to organising and giving briefings – and to the event itself.
  • Alongside the Community and Events Project Manager, capture and report on the impact of our events, keeping a monthly overview of development, targets and results.
  • Organise and inspire teams to deliver high quality work.
  • Maintain the identity and values of the business publicly and represent the business where necessary at in-person or online events.
  • Build successful, lasting relationships with our event attendees, industry professionals and community.

Company Partners

  • Alongside the Creative Learning and Engagement Lead, oversee and manage the resourcing, planning and delivery of Company Partner events from start to finish.
  • Support the Accounts team in the development of useful and impactful guides for our Company Partners, supporting Company Partners to run their own Portfolio Reviews.

You

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with clients, collaborators and internal teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Process-driven, organised and methodical with a high attention to detail in both writing and with numbers.
  • Ability to effectively plan ahead, resource teams and prioritise tasks to deliver high quality work in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Relevant experience producing both in-person and online events, ideally within the creative sector.
  • Ability to deliver high quality work in a timely manner.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work independently.
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure, with a consistent, positive can-do attitude.
  • Proactive problem solver, providing solutions and welcoming new challenges.
  • Passionate about the future of the creative industry and helping emerging talent find opportunities.
  • Awareness and understanding of the creative industry.
