Job Description

We are a Tokyo-born independent creative agency and have set up our London office in March 2019. This position is for an on-site role at our London office, with a start date in October/November 2026.

monopo is seeking a full-time Studio Manager to join our growing team of twelve in London. You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of our studio, making sure the office is organised, well maintained and a great place for the team to work.

You’ll be a central part of studio life, keeping on top of everything from travel bookings, office supplies and maintenance to team lunches, drinks and celebrations. We’re looking for someone practical, organised and proactive who enjoys making things happen and takes pride in creating a well-run and welcoming environment.

As a Studio Manager, you make sure everything works. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the studio
  • Keeping office supplies, kitchen supplies and other essentials stocked and organised
  • Managing office maintenance and servicing, including AC, cleaning, repairs and other facilities
  • Liaising with our landlord, suppliers, contractors and service providers
  • Coordinating collection and shipment of post and packages
  • Identifying and resolving issues with the studio before they become problems
  • Organising weekly team lunches, drinks, celebrations and other team activities
  • Helping organise events, presentations, visitors and other activities taking place in the studio
  • Helping create a welcoming, inspiring and well-organised studio environment
  • Onboarding new members in a clear and warm way
  • Supporting teams with travel planning booking on various projects
  • Supporting the directors and team with occasional administrative and operational tasks

Studio managers at monopo:

  • Are highly organised and have a natural instinct for getting things done
  • Notice the small things that make a big difference
  • Take ownership rather than waiting to be asked
  • Are practical, resourceful and good at solving problems
  • Enjoy bringing people together and creating a positive studio environment
  • Are comfortable managing lots of small tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Have excellent communication skills and are comfortable dealing with external suppliers and partners
  • Are curious about creative work, culture and the world around them
  • Have a positive and can-do attitude
  • Take pride in creating an environment where other people can do their best work

You’re the perfect fit if you:

  • Have experience in studio management, office management, operations, agency coordination or a similar role
  • Are exceptionally organised and able to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Are proactive, self-driven and comfortable taking responsibility for the smooth running of a studio
  • Have excellent communication skills and are confident dealing with suppliers, contractors and external partners
  • Have a good eye for detail and take pride in doing things properly
  • Have an interest in creative work, design, culture, fashion, sport, food or other areas that inspire our work
  • Are friendly, approachable and enjoy being around people
  • Are comfortable working from our East London studio as this is an office-based role
  • Have a valid UK work visa

We will offer you

  • A diverse and stimulating environment. We’re a growing team of 12 in London, 3 in Paris, and a further 40 in Tokyo and New York. You will join an experienced and collaborative team, keen to work together in person and driven to deliver creative work that captures the imagination.
  • A competitive salary based on your experience. We will adapt the salary and working arrangement based on your level of experience.
  • The opportunity to grow based on your own interests and ambitions. If you’re interested in developing the Operations, Marketing, PR, or another side of the role further, we can create space for you to do so.
