The Junior / Midweight Designer plays a key role in creating onbrand and innovative design work across all digital touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have a background in motion graphics, typography and branding. Reporting to the Art Director, you will work alongside our passionate team of creatives coming from various creative backgrounds, music, fashion and youth media, to bring the best design practises to the table and have their full support in implementing and defining a unique, exhilarating and one of a kind design experience for this role. You will:

  • Work collaboratively to interpret briefs on numerous design projects, across a variety of mediums
  • Create artwork and assets for use on web and across social platforms and create new series identities and graphic development of existing franchise
  • Prepare concepts and drafts for internal review
  • Incorporate best design practises into all creative work, ensuring the complete and timely delivery of all assigned assets
  • Stay up-to-date with current design trends and techniques, sharing information and inspiration with colleagues.
  • Foster open collaboration with internal teams, including marketing, social, editorial and video teams and help identify emerging and established freelance talent when needed.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Minimum role criteria:

  • Graphic design experience at a design firm, agency, publication, or media company, with an emphasis on branding, motion identity, and graphic design
  • Extensive knowledge and familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign and After Effects) and Keynote
  • A love for or experience in designing for social media channels and defining what it means, looks and feels like for a new brand
  • A good eye for great imagery and illustration
  • Immersed and knowledgeable in design culture, past and present
  • A natural ability to collaborate with others, thrive under pressure and communicate effectively verbally and in writing
