Job Description

The Conran Shop Professional is looking for an experienced, Sales professional to join our team in a business development capacity. This is a new role within the team, reporting directly to the Sales & Commercial Director, with the responsibility for creating and implementing an individual sales strategy. This in turn will be benchmarked against pre-agreed targets. The role will focus primarily on elevating the Brands awareness and profile within the A&D community, and in turn generating and securing new business.

About the role:

  • Focused on generating and developing new opportunities through the A&D community.
  • Develop with the Sales & Commercial Director, a clearly defined and targeted sales strategy.
  • Establish, target and develop new sectors and new architectural practices.
  • Develop, manage and co-lead pitches/presentations on product and services offered by TCS Professional.
  • Find, execute and secure bids or tenders for projects/opportunities within your network/target sectors/assigned accounts.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Building strong relationships with our supply network, ensuring suppliers are used effectively.

About you:

  • Minimum 5 + years' experience in the design sector in an A&D sales role, preferably with a dealer background.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving annual gross sales in excess of £ l m and a proven ability to deliver gross margin at 25%+.
  • Have a confident and measured understanding of the sales process within the industry as well as experience in stakeholder management.
  • Ability to plan, arrange and deliver appointments, presentations and evening events for the A&D community.
  • An effective communicator and brand ambassador for TCS Professional on every occasion.
  • Well-known and respected by piers, with strong contacts throughout the A&D Community.
  • A desire and ability to network and build relationships combining a sales mentality, good business acumen and commerciality.
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
  • Have strong knowledge of contract furniture
