Job Description

The Barn is a dynamic and rapidly growing creative E-commerce agency with a diverse portfolio of brands across the fashion, luxury and lifestyle industries. As we continue to expand, we are on the search for a talented, creative and flexible digital designer to join our studio.

Key Skills - must-haves.

  • A strong background working as a Digital Designer with UX & UI web design experience, preferably with luxury brands.
  • Experience using Shopify, Shopify+, Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Understanding of digital design systems, design processes and front-end implementation.
  • Thoughtful interaction design.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and highly organised.
  • Considered problem solver and pre-emptive in nature.
  • Ability to communicate and hand over with developers.
  • Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) compliance.
  • Using existing stats and analytics to inform design decisions.
  • Effectively manage timelines and your project planning.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain trust and confidentiality.
  • Strong team and personal leadership skills.

Additional Skills - nice to haves.

  • Motion graphic/animation skills would be helpful.
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce methodologies and strategy.
  • Experience working with design and development teams.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian package software (Jira, Service Desk, Confluence).
