Wieden & Kennedy is looking for a Senior Video Editor to be part of the in-house production team. The Senior Editor works together with creative teams and the in-house production team on a range of projects which include TV, online and social content, new business pitch films, mood films and research films, as well as internal agency projects like company events, showreels and case studies. They will be working closely with creatives and producers in concepting and executing edits for all agency projects to bring excellent quality to all work. Most importantly, the ideal candidate should be open to working on both internal and external projects, is able to offer motion graphic skills, has an eye for design and sees this as an opportunity to develop their reel and work with skilled creative teams at one of the top creative agencies in London.
Major Responsibilities / Primary Functions:
- Edit (both audio and video) high quality content, using in-depth knowledge of Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
- Work closely with creatives, directors and producers to ensure final delivery is to the highest creative standard.
- Oversee the editing workflow of all jobs that you’ve taken on, from ingestion of footage, multiple revisions, sound design, post-production supervision, versioning through to delivery and archival.
- Quality control the asset and version it to appropriate delivery specs for social media, online and TV broadcast delivery standards.
- Crafting engaging stories across a variety of platforms, both internal and for external purposes, offering creative ideas and solutions, and ensuring smooth delivery on time.
- Leads the department by helping oversee editorial pipeline and working closely with IT on technical requirements and staying up to date with latest software.
- Help ensure archival and drive storage is well organised and up to date.
- Ensure all freelancers are set up properly on editorial software and they have the correct information on workflow and opening / closing jobs.
- Plays a leadership role in the department, leading its creative success and helping junior editors succeed, ensuring in-house work is to the highest creative standard and encouraging its growth within the agency.
- Responsible for research footage library, maintain archive and music library for editorial use.

- Enthusiastic, and demonstrates a calm and positive attitude while under pressure.
- Acute attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.
- Listens and takes constructive criticism well, always applying client and creative feedback as directed, and offering creative solutions or options when appropriate.
- Deep understanding of encoding, codecs and resolutions.
- In-depth music and film knowledge that can effectively contribute to edit and creative projects.
- Has a keen eye for commercial editing and keen interest in craft of filmmaking and editing, knowledge of editing styles that push boundaries and challenge the creative.
- Works well under pressure and independently, and demonstrates strong communication skills both in verbal and written context.
- Takes initiative and shows creative ambition to start self owned projects when there is spare time.
- Resourceful and takes advantage of opportunities outside of just editing, showing ambition to learn and collaborate with others on creative projects that can be made in-house using the time allowed.

- Salary £45k+ dependant on experience.
- The position is full-time, with a 3month probationary period.
- UK residents only. Whilst we facilitate flexible working, we will also require on site editing out of our London office.
