Full-Time Head of Photo wanted for KODE

We’re hiring!

We are looking for an experienced Head of Photo to join KODE, starting in March or shortly before. This is a full-time position working from within our Mitchell Street office near Old Street.

You will join our Photo department at KODE and be responsible for nurturing and maintaining our roster of Photographers, whilst working alongside our Leadership team in creating business plans to develop and grow the department.

This is an opportunity to be part of an established, family-style company that creates work across multiple mediums including advertising, music, photography, short film, emerging technology and post production.

Essential Attributes:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working as a professional Photography Agent, Producer or Art Buyer
  • Ability to spot and nurture photography talent
  • Experience / knowledge of producing small and large scale photo shoots
  • Understanding of the photography industry, events and awards
  • An entrepreneurial spirit
  • A sharp eye for detail and quality control
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organised and resourceful
  • Proficiency in Mac, G-Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
  • Be social and outgoing

Role Highlights:

  • Building photo books and presenting work
  • Sales and negotiation

  • Creating business plans for the department alongside the Senior Leadership Team
  • Reporting to the Board
  • Build and maintain a network of industry contacts
  • Use industry knowledge to provide valuable insights to clients and adapt strategies accordingly
  • Actively seek and cultivate relationships with potential clients, agencies, brands, and publications
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in the photography world
