About the Role
You are responsible for elevating Papier's creative output and visual identity across all channels. As Senior Graphic Designer, you will collaborate closely with the Creative Lead to roll out creative direction, shape visual storytelling, and define the look and feel for major projects. You will help to foster creative growth, technical excellence and a high bar for craft across the team.
About You
- Exceptional graphic design and animation/video editing skills, with a portfolio showcasing conceptual strength, craft, and refined execution.
- Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop); 3D animation skills are a bonus.
- Proven ability to lead design projects from concept to delivery.
- Strong understanding of motion design principles including visual storytelling, pacing, composition and sound.
- Confident communicator with experience presenting creative ideas internally or externally.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects at once.
- Exceptional taste level and strong understanding of Gen Z trends and aesthetics.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for elevating your own work and inspiring the team.
What You'll Do
- Best-in-class creative output
- Build category-defining content and a broad range of assets from concept to execution,collaborating with key teams and sharing ideas
- Lead large creative projects from ideation through delivery, defining the graphic direction and setting standards for the team to follow.
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Lead to shape visual storytelling and ensure consistent execution across all outputs.
- Proactively research trends, opportunities and competitor activity across both design and motion.
- Line manage a mid-weight designer, supporting and developing them through regular check-ins and feedback.
- Present creative concepts clearly
- Maintain and evolve alignment with the Brand Style Guide.
Motion design & video
- Lead the evolution of Papier’s motion language, ensuring cohesive, premium, and innovative animation and video editing across brand films and social ads.
- Stay ahead of emerging motion trends, technologies and techniques, bringing fresh innovation to Papier’s creative output.
- Uphold best practices for motion, ensuring brand consistency and performance-driven thinking.
Tools, systems & asset management
- Manage and maintain Figma libraries and shared templates to ensure efficiency and consistency across the team.
- Oversee organisation and quality control of shared assets and workflows.
- Support freelancers, ensuring integration with team processes and brand direction.
Deadlines and time management
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure deadlines & capacity are well managed.
- Maintain visibility of workload and deliver projects to a high standard and on schedule.
