And as culture evolves, so must we. We have enormous digital ambitions to move content and viewing forwards for everyone.

The Role:

With our streaming service ITVX, now at the heart of our viewer offering, we understand the importance of great imagery as a way to engage viewing and sell our programme brands in the right way. This role will be at the heart of that, leading a busy team of designers, art workers and the product team. You will liaise with marketing, editorial, production companies and programme creators, conceptualising and overseeing everything from key art hero images right down to episode specific images.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the product team to ensure images are working in practice
  • Work with the traffic manager to assign work to the design team
  • Briefing retouchers
  • Working with and briefing external and internal production companies
  • Presenting and pitching creative concepts
  • Work to the overall creative ambition set by the Director of Creative

  • Portfolio/book with examples of key art and advertising imagery. Ideally brands and projects that have used a high volume of imagery.
  • Strong, demonstrable skills in Graphic Design and Art Direction.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of art working, image sizes and formats across all of digital and social media.
  • Experience of leading, inspiring and guiding a team.
  • Experience of working with retouching and finishing
  • Experience and knowledge of using a DAM tool
  • Expertise in Adobe CS. (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign)

ITV strongly encourages applications for this role from candidates with a disability and as a Disability Confident Leader, we have committed to interview all candidates with a disability whose application meets the minimum criteria for the role (*minimum criteria above).

*There may be a few exceptions where we are not able to take all eligible candidates to the next stage due to the volume of applications.

Key criteria

  • A clear understanding and passion for how an image can stop a scroll, turn heads and engage views on platform, product and performance marketing.
  • Data focused, with an understanding of A/B testing and personalisation.
  • Strong presenting, pitching and persuasive skills
  • The ability to build relationships with stakeholders and other teams externally and internally
  • A clear understanding of key art and its power to move an audience and build a brand
  • Passionate about branding, design, photography and advertising
