Salary: £30-33,000 per annum

Department: Audiences/Design

Locations: Manchester Office / Factory International

Please note this is a fixed term role until end July 23.

Working within the Audiences department, you will be responsible for managing all design for Factory International, including scheduling design, trafficking workflow, delegating jobs, and ensuring all designs are proofed effectively and on brand.

Working on creative projects across Factory International’s programmes of work including commercial events, large scale concerts and our wide-ranging public programme, this role will be supporting design needs for both the opening of our new venue as well as our next festival, MIF23.

The key responsibilities for the Studio Manager role are:

• Acting as the key design contact for all internal Factory International teams and departments

• Creating proposals and briefs for design deliverables

• Scheduling of all design requests - managing, prioritising and trafficking workload for the Design studio

• Keeping track of all design projects, ensure they are running to schedule and to the highest possible standard

• Acting as the key point of contact for external suppliers, such as printers and paper suppliers

• Assisting with design budgets by obtaining quotes where necessary

• Ensuring all design is on brand, proofed and signed off by the relevant parties

• Assisting the audiences team with archiving marketing collateral

The person spec for the Studio Manager role includes:

ESSENTIAL

• Experience of overseeing and managing a team’s workflow in an environment that encompasses print and digital

• Demonstrable knowledge of the design process and an understanding of what is required to ensure design work is managed effectively

• Accurate with a good eye for detail

• Good project management and organisational skills

• Experience managing external suppliers

• Commitment to championing representation and inclusion at every level of the organisation with a proven ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds

DESIRABLE

• Excellent communication skills

• Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Excellent organisational and administration skills

• Experience of working in a design scheduling role either in-house, in a production team or with a design agency

• Experience using Microsoft Planner

• Enthusiasm for training, mentoring and support of emerging talent
