Junior Editor
Job Description
A bit about us
Kinsmen unites a mindful focus with a lively imagination. We make people feel through powerful visual storytelling; using sight, sound and motion to make narratives with a mission come alive. We believe that good stories told well, have the power to open doors, change minds and turn awareness into action.
Our London-based team works directly with brands, creative agencies and PR houses alike, managing campaigns from start to finish; creative through to production.
Our projects span healthcare to slow fashion, beauty to sustainable travel, fitness to fintech and everything in between. You’ll see our work on socials, websites, billboards, the telly - just about everywhere.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a talented editor to join our expanding team on an almost/full-time basis, initially working from home. As our inhouse editor, you will work across a range of projects from peppy Instagram ads to short form episodic content, to brand films and longform podcasts. No matter the brief you will apply your creative editing techniques to accurately reflect the vision of each client and their brief.
You will have a good knowledge of modern video and audio editing techniques already, be able to visualise concepts, and work according to a schedule and deadline.
We’re looking for emerging talent that has the work ethic to learn from our team and who isn’t afraid to throw their ideas into the mix.
As a small but growing company, this role has plenty of room to develop. As the only inhouse editor you will have the opportunity to learn quickly, cutting your teeth on a range of projects and formats. You’ll also work alongside more senior editors, animators and colourists who will be able to guide you along the way.
We understand people have hobbies and passion projects. We wholeheartedly encourage these and where possible want to provide support whether it be advice, equipment, or our time. We only grow with the growth of our team so this is vital to us.
We look forward to your application and are excited to meet you!
