At Cubitts, we love telling stories. We’re looking for a passionate Creative Lead who can help us bring these stories to life, building a compelling visual world that will engage new and existing customers.

40 million people wear spectacles in the UK alone, but the optical industry hasn’t changed in more than three centuries. Products are tired, standards are poor, and glasses wearers have got used to sub-standard experiences. We’re going to change that.

As the Creative Lead, you will work directly with the CEO and Brand team to deliver culturally-driven, distinctive and customer-centric brand campaigns, retail experiences and digital content - leveraging Cubitts’ strong brand identity and unique positioning in the spectacles market.

The role

The Creative Lead will ultimately be responsible for leading the development and execution of all creative communication across Cubitts. The role currently reports to the Brand Manager.

Creating and delivering a distinct visual world across all Cubitts touchpoints - culminating in a best in class set of visual and brand guidelines

Leading creative concepting and campaign development across paid, owned and earned channels (Partnerships, Activations, Retail Experiences, Film, Social, Digital, PR, Web etc) for 3 seasonal, brand campaigns per year

Directing all external production teams to deliver seasonal campaigns (with project-management support from the Brand Manager)

Executing in-house production for ad hoc content creation & ongoing ecommerce photography

Guiding an internal team of creative support, including copywriter and designer

Liaising with Brand, Digital and Retail teams to regularly (monthly) review all creative output against KPIs

Consistent research and understanding of new trends, creative innovation, marketing inspiration - share monthly with the wider marketing team

Who you are

Proven track record in creating and executing compelling brand campaigns across multiple channels

Photography skills for inhouse production requirements

Comfortable managing and nurturing creatives in-house and externally when required

Big picture thinker with strong attention to detail

Persuasive and articulate when it comes to directing or presenting, inspiring confidence and trust in colleagues

Hands on and self-motivated
