Role Description

• We have a rare opportunity in the Cawston Press team for a talented and highly motivated Graphic Designer who is passionate about helping to grow beautiful brands that people love.

• Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager in a fun-loving, fast-paced Marketing team, this is a critical and broad role that will see you act as guardian of our brand. We’re proud of our best-in-class storytelling and you’ll be responsible for delivering it across a range of print and digital touchpoints including; below-the-line campaigns, events & experiential, artworking, sales support and internal communications.

Role Responsibilities

• Digital Content (Social, Web & eCom, Newsletters/eShots) – work closely with the marketing team to ptimise core brand assets to create engaging static and animated digital content that educates customers and consumers.

• Campaigns – working with the team and agencies to take approved campaign concepts and own the creation of hero assets, to roll out meticulously across all on and offline touchpoints.

• Artworking – responsible for retouching, reworking or fixing the design, customising typography, colour balancing, resizing documents and eliminating any inconsistencies of creative across a range of channels and formats.

• Trade & Shopper Marketing – work with the marketing team to interpret briefs from the Sales team and deliver all trade and shopper marketing materials (including print trade ads, online banners and POS requests).

• Brand Guardianship – act as our guardian of the brand, always maintaining the very highest standards and delivering consistently best-in-class materials irrespective of the channel. Responsible for managing and maintaining library of assets.

• Photography – responsible for delivering best-in-class ‘house’ style and lifestyle product imagery. From scamping up new image concepts, creating mood boards, gaining sign off from Head of Marketing, through to briefing photographers, providing on-set art direction and owning all retouching and ongoing file management.

Key Skills and Attributes

• This role would suit someone who has had over 3 years’ experience delivering graphic design, either client and / or agency side

• You will have a strong knowledge of the print process

• You will be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Acrobat and Microsoft Office

• You will be a self-starter with the confidence to work independently

• You will have bundles of energy, enthusiasm and pace

Location

Home and London office based depending on the successful candidate location. We offer flexible working with the expectation is that office-based colleagues are in a minimum of 3 times per week and we would like those team members living a fair distance away to be in for a minimum of 2 days every fortnight. Connecting with the wider business is important, benefits all, and allows us to ‘Win Together.’

Salary Package (based on current experience and capability)

• Salary range £30,000 to £35,000

• Bonus – up to 15%

• Holiday – 25 days a year plus bank holidays + a Charity Day – 1 day a year to participate in and event or support your chosen charity.
