Job Description

Role: responsible for the launch and successful performance of the Atelier100 Programme alongside with the community management

Level: midweight

Type: part time, 3 days a week

Duration: Mar23 - Feb24

Location: based in London

Atelier100 is a new concept by H&M and INGKA (IKEA’s largest franchisee) that champions local production and independent creatives. After a successful pilot in 2022, we plan to release new collections in 2023 featuring home and fashion products made by emerging designers and makers in London.

We are looking for a Programme and Community Lead who will manage Atelier100’s relationship with participating creatives; acting as their main point of contact as they manufacture and deliver their products for the collection and coordinating virtual and in-person programming that helps them develop their businesses and brands. This is a one-year contract for a part-time position (3 days a week) based in London.

What we’re looking for:

  • A people person with project management experience who is as comfortable making small talk as they are making spreadsheets.
  • An active interest in design — you should be excited about the opportunity to nurture a community of emerging talent and help bring a collection of beautiful design objects made locally to life.
  • A good idea of the retail landscape – you should be aware of how products perform in commercial settings and be willing to connect with experts in that arena.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in role(s) that required creating and managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders, and coordinating projects, programmes, or events.
  • A problem-solving mindset — Atelier100 is a new initiative delivered by a small team, and while you will get support when you need it, you will be responsible for delivering a programme (that helps participating creatives deliver products).
  • Familiarity with London — while you’ll be working remotely most days, the role will require regular visits to workshops, events, and locations across the city.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for creatives delivering products for the Atelier100 collection — you’ll help them remove any blockers they’re facing and check-in with them regularly to ensure they’re on track to meet programme deadlines.
  • Check in regularly with the Project Lead, reporting on the programme and feeding back any necessary information between the Atelier100 core team and the creatives.
  • Organise and deliver regular programming for the creative cohort including monthly talks, visits to local manufacturers, and group / one-to-one sessions with creative experts.
  • Scheduling the above programme and ensuring all creatives and partners are aware of the details well in advance.
  • Help coordinate major programme milestones — including programme kick-off, grant approvals, prototype review, collection photoshoot, and the in-store collection launch.
  • Support creative partners in getting content and assets from participating creatives needed to create marketing assets for the collection.
  • Manage contracts with participating creatives and external experts contributing to the programme (product experts, business experts, speakers, etc.)
  • Manage and report Programme budget
  • Set up Notion, Slack and other applicable community management systems for participating creatives
  • Plan a group trip to Sweden for the cohort
