Job Description
Overview:
As a Cinematic Artist you are a core part of the FWS cinematography team. Within your role you will create high-quality cinematics: staging, shooting, lighting, troubleshooting and collaborating across specialised builds and software to create the best games content possible for our clients. Together with your team you will help create AAA award winning content that exceeds client and audiences’ expectations.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Create high-quality game cinematic game content using game engines and marketing builds
- Meet capture deadlines and manage your own time effectively
- Select footage that fits the brief and hits the required quality
- Assemble sequences ready for review and use in an edit
- Creative problem solving, to find ways around buggy game builds and errors
- Technical troubleshooting on incomplete and early development game builds
- Work as part of the team to achieve your workload and help others when necessary
- Be flexible to work on a variety of projects across various games with clients
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflow, making sure Editors have regular intake of your footage and Creatives are informed with your knowledge
- Develop your skills in game capture techniques and creative storytelling
- Keep up to date and utilise new appropriate equipment and systems to support cinematic goals
- Be proactive to help develop the department with your line manager

Skills & Experience:
- +3 years of cinematic work in Games, TV, feature film or entertainment
- +3 years of working with Unreal, Unity or other game engines with cinematic tools
- Demonstrable artistic eye for cinematics, composition and high-quality production
- Good knowledge of cinematography and related terminology
- A strong understanding of cinematic pipelines and workflow
- Aptitude for technology, engine software, cameras and debugging tools
- Good communication and time management skills
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- Affinity for video games, film, music, TV or creative industries
