Reporting to senior staff across our web department as well as working within the wider editorial team, you will support the production of content for monocle.com and third-party channels. The role will involve regular use of content management and online analytics tools; you should have experience of working with online systems beyond social platforms.

Your main focus will be gathering and uploading editorial content across the digital magazine, film and radio. Uploading the digital version of the magazine will be an important part of your role, as will curating Monocle’s homepage and producing some of its newsletters. You should have an interest in data, as you will be responsible for producing digital performance updates for the editorial team as well as providing reports and analysis of digital campaigns to Monocle’s advertising team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Has a methodical and organised approach, and can work quickly and accurately when faced with multiple deadlines.
  • Has some experience working in the digital field or a relevant degree.
  • Is comfortable using a content management system and has a working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Has a working knowledge of spreadsheets and graphs for reporting; knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is an advantage.

Based at our London HQ – which houses all of our print, radio and film production – this is an excellent opportunity for anyone planning a career in media, publishing, or the web. Your schedule will be five days a week, 09.30 to 18.30. You may need to work flexibly around certain deadlines and may be asked to edit content remotely outside of working hours.

Job type: Full time, permanent (based at Monocle’s HQ in Marylebone). Salary: Up to £25,000 (depending on experience).
