Job Description

We are looking for an experienced 3D Artist specialising in Art Direction, who has impeccable taste and attention to detail.

You will be a hands-on maker and thinker, involved in projects from conception to delivery, with a focus on look development, lighting / texturing and overall aesthetic - although making things move will of-course be part of the role.

You will have/be:

  • A proven track record of developing top-tier commercial work.
  • Able to deliver the highest quality visual output with technical prowess.
  • Skills in design, 3D, animation and compositing.
  • Great communication skills.
  • A curiosity and passion for great design.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with Creative Directors to develop and produce original ideas for both pitches and live projects.
  • Leadership/oversight of the look and feel of dedicated projects (being the sole Art Director in some circumstances - having the final touch on everything that goes out).
  • Working closely with the production team to help review project practicalities and offer POV on plans, timings and scope of projects.
  • R&D of new processes and development of internal creative projects.

Software:

  • Primary: C4D, After Effects.
  • Rendering: Redshift (Octane also great to have).
  • Secondary (optional): Houdini, Nuke, Zbrush, Adobe Creative Suite, Substance, Marvelous Designer, Unreal, experience in Live Action x CG Hybrid work.

About weareseventeen: we are a creative and production partner to both brands and agencies worldwide - known for crafting award-winning work whilst championing decency and putting people first in a demanding industry.

We prioritise experimentation and protecting time between projects to explore new techniques and ideas, and value a sense of curiosity and openness in everyone we work with.

The role is full-time 4.5 days per week (we finish at 1pm every Friday). We work together from the studio 2 days per week and we encourage a combination of home and studio-based days.
