Motion Designer & Animator

We are looking for an organised and creative individual with excellent skills in design, animation and moving image to join our growing film/animation team here at Within International in London.

Within International is a corporate film and branding agency based in London, Hong Kong, and New York. We work with some of the largest professional services firms in the world delivering high-end internal and external communications through animation, branding, film, and strategic consultancy.

To be a successful Motion Designer & Animator you must be able to understand client briefs and work creatively to produce the desired product. A good Motion Designer & Animator should also stay up to date with industry trends and tools that will make future projects more marketable and palatable.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create visually stunning video and content assets for various media
• Collaborate with the creative director, film lead and other team members to fulfil briefs and produce slick content
• Work closely with our Account Managers to understand client challenges, briefs and project requirements
• Take the initiative on projects to deliver new and innovative solutions
• Adhere to brief guidelines in ways that still push creative boundaries
• Integrate motion graphics / animations into short and long form films
• Confidently take a brief from concept to storyboard, to asset creation and execution
• Ability to solve problems within briefs laid out by the client or the creative director

You will work closely alongside our film and brand team to help produce brilliant pieces of work that fulfil briefs set out by our clients.

Requirements:

• You will have at least 2-3 years of experience in a post-production house or creative design agency in a Motion Designer or Animator role
• A strong portfolio of motion graphics work
• Have the knowledge of industry standards on film outputs, formats, codecs and various other requirements to deliver projects to the highest level
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to stay calm under pressure, especially in front of clients
• Extensive knowledge on animation workflows, various output formats and vast knowledge of After Effects
• A desire to learn new techniques and technology to advance your craft
• Willingness to learn more on the job, whether it's new software or business processes
• Basic Cinema4D / 3D software knowledge is desirable
• Comfortable using a camera for filming and photography is desirable, but not essential
• Must be based in London as you will be required to work from our London office
