Job Description

They wow people with their mind-boggling skills and help us to bring to life ideas that push the boundaries for some of the worlds biggest brands. You will understand how to balance creativity and commerciality, using both to create experiences that captivate our clients.

As a Senior Creative Tech, you will have previous hands-on experience in collaborative environments (agencies, design teams, start-ups, studios, creative tech teams) and be well versed in being a conduit between creative and technology teams. You will understand, and be able to contribute to, timeline discussions, scoping and third party production needs (including estimates, an understanding of how much things should cost, how to run teams lean) and have solid experience in turning, guiding and directing others to turn business needs into creative solutions. You will have a proven ability to lead, organise and mentor with little direction. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the current state (and future) of technology and creativity and a critical awareness of implications on what we do.

The Integrated Studio has a philosophy of hands-on skills no matter what level so our ideal candidate will have experience in code - HTML/CSS and the principles of responsive design - and comes from a collaborative and open environment, working hand-in-hand with designers, editors, creatives and strategists.

  • Own the end-to-end development process of smaller scale ideas / products, working collaboratively with strategy, design, and production
  • Co-manage with integrated producer 3rd party technical production partners for large scale builds
  • Provide design support when required in order to help move design toward a more user experience and/or technology focused output
  • Write documentation and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a high-level of autonomy
  • Present work to peers, leadership, clients you’ll need to be able to communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Write, debug and optimise your own and basic code
  • Mentor Mid to Junior Creative Technologists, understanding their skill sets, desires to grow and gaps. Guiding them to the next step and reorienting them when required. What we’d like to see
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment - studio, start-up or similar
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools
  • Experience in building custom experiences including AR, web and app development (VR a plus but not required)
  • Strong foundation in HTML / CSS and the principles of responsive design and well as experience in or and interest in native / React app development
  • Ability to take translate strategy, business requirements and use cases into mind-boggling experiences and guide others to do so when required
  • Passion for design and development with a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible with technology as well as an awareness of new tools and technologies (e.g., no code movement)
  • Understanding of and ability to talk proficiently about user experience
  • Experience managing and/or mentoring small teams
  • Knowledge of source versioning (e.g., GIT)
  • Curiosity and playfulness - you’ll be excited and eager to get hands-on with new things

Application Specifics:

  • Salary£60k+ including a 3 month probationary period and benefits thereafter
  • Fixed Term Contract (12 months) from September 2021
