Job Description

At Zoopla, we want to help everyone make smart home-buying decisions. We’re building a team for a once-in-a-career opportunity to re-imagine the property industry.

To do this, we need a Senior Content Designer who will help to guide product teams in delivering the right content, in the right format, at the right time for millions of users.

You’ll work alongside Product Designers, UX Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers to craft end-to-end journeys that are user-centric, creative and measurable.

Whether it’s overhauling our property listings or refreshing our appointment booking experience, this role is all about setting a new standard of content design excellence for one of the UK’s best-known brands.

About you

We’re looking for someone who has experience working within product teams. This is not a marketing role. You won’t be crafting blog posts or getting creative on social media, although you will be working with our marketing and SEO teams.

You’re a great communicator and openly share your work to demonstrate the value of content design. You’re comfortable speaking to users, running A/B tests, and hosting content critiques all to enhance the product experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Designing and prototyping experiences as part of end-to-end user journeys
  • Solving user problems by working collaboratively in a cross-functional team
  • Facilitating workshops and ideation sessions
  • Ensuring content design requirements play a key role in product enhancements
  • Contributing best practices to our style guides and design systems
  • Measuring and evaluating the successes and learnings of content design
  • Mentoring other content creators and product stakeholders to build their awareness and knowledge of content design

Essential skills

  • Experience working as a content designer, UX writer, or content strategist
  • The ability to make the complex sound simple
  • An eye for interpreting data and using it to generate hypotheses for testing and learning
  • A willingness to build empathy with our users through research in order to deeply understand them and their needs
  • Creating journey maps and wireframes, knowing when to make simple sketches and when to employ hi-fidelity prototyping
  • Able to work autonomously

Desired skills

  • Good knowledge of SEO
  • Experience with structured content and content modelling
  • Ability to create high-fidelity prototypes

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, physical disability, or length of time spent unemployed.

Benefits

  • Everyday Flex - greater flexibility over where and when you work
  • 25 days annual leave + extra days for years of service
  • Day off for your birthday, house move, good deed day, and digital detox day
  • Cycle to work and electric car schemes
  • Free Calm App membership
  • Enhanced Paternity Leave
  • Fertility Treatment Financial Support
  • Group Income Protection and private medical insurance
  • Gym on-site in London – or membership in regional offices
  • 7.5% pension contribution by the company
  • Discretionary annual bonus up to 10% of base salary
  • Talent referral bonus up to £5K
