We have a fantastic opportunity for a Creative Director to join us on a 12 month maternity cover.

Reporting to the Global Brand Director, you will drive the global Lovehoney retail brand strategy expression and to lead and inspire an in-house team to deliver market leading Brand and Communications campaigns globally across all customer touch points.

The 16 strong in-house Creative team is made up of enthusiastic and dedicated Designers, Packaging Experts, Photographers and Videographers who work together to bring the Lovehoney brand to life for customers world-wide.

Lovehoney continues to grow and mature as a brand and this role will give you the opportunity to be instrumental in the development of a world leading name in the sexual wellness category. Your strategic and conceptual creative thinking with be key to earning the hearts and minds of our customers.

Please note, you will need to be able to commute into our central Bath office ideally 2/3 times per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Global Brand Director to create the global expression of our brand strategy and evolution.
  • Provide strong leadership and development of the in-house Creative Services team to deliver all business requirements for our brand and customer marketing communications plans globally.
  • Drive creativity and innovation in creative outputs and across the team of c.16: Creative designers, Design & Production and Multimedia teams (video and photography).
  • Deliver compelling and market leading customer creative ; brand licences and collaborations, product packaging, on-site graphics, digital advertising, email communications, social, photography, video etc.
  • Lead brand management guidelines evolution, embedding and consistent application across all activities. Lead team of brand champions across the business.
  • Support Lovehoney Group with Creative Strategy

Main Assignments

  • Creates creative innovation and concepts and campaigns in line with briefs informed by internal insights and marketing teams.
  • Deliver insightful creative concepts for all integrated customer and consumer marketing campaigns as per briefs from internal stakeholders. Direct and lead team ideation sessions. Deliver all commercial trading requirements to achieve budget.
  • Establishes excellent working relationships across the business and internal stakeholders.
  • Own quality assurance across all deliverables.
  • Ensure robust workflow process management across the team. Ensures teams meet deadlines.
  • Ensures brand evolution, management and consistency.
  • Creative compelling presentation proposals for potential brand collaborations.
  • Supports NPD teams with packaging concepts and development
  • Enables the Email and Trading teams with campaign assets
  • Drives and delivers quality photography and video requirements and outputs.
  • Shares and adopts creative best practice.
  • Responsible for global adaptation with local territory teams (US, AU and EU)
  • Mentors and leads the team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 10 years’ experience in senior creative role (agency/client side)
  • Experience across the full creative/design/studio mix
  • Global consumer product brand experience
  • A proven track record of building and leading a strong creative team that delivers commercial results
  • Ecommerce retail experience - D2C
  • Packaging design experience
  • Creative and Design experience - portfolio that demonstrates experience
  • Excellent communication skills to motivate, mentor and drive the team to deliver results
