About this role

We are looking for an Account Manager to join the Client Team at ThreeTenSeven, someone with 2-5 years agency experience, positive energy and great people skills.

You’ll need to be great with clients, super organised, have an eye for design and be willing to share your opinions. You’ll work alongside a wider team including Account Director and Account Exec roles, giving you excellent on the job coaching, and scope for development/line management of your own. We’ll give you experience on a range of accounts, including brand, comms and some digital (web) projects, so experience on these is an important asset. However if you haven’t worked on all kinds of accounts then we can still work together, as long as you’re willing to learn. Account Management is at the core but naturally project management skills are important to keep things running smoothly – keeping things organised, on track with time and budgets behind the scenes.

We specialise in health and wellbeing so you can feel good about the clients you’ll be working with; your initial client list will be varied but will include some health clients including both non-profits and NHS clients, as well as education, public sector and some private sector. You don’t need to have health experience, nor to be an avid health nut, but an interest in health and wellbeing is welcome.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building great relationships with a wide range of clients
  • Communicating with clients by email and phone
  • Attending client meetings
  • Taking good quality notes, creating timeplans and other documents
  • Writing cost proposals
  • Taking client input and turning it into written briefs for the studio
  • Briefing the studio with jobs and answering questions on the brief
  • Asking lots of questions to quickly get to know a client’s business
  • Spotting new opportunities with clients and suggesting solutions or next steps
  • Feeding ideas into Account Directors and the wider client services team to help grow the account
  • Contributing to creative sessions, sharing what you’ve seen in the world or noticed first-hand as a user, customer, patient etc.
  • Checking work against the brief and knowledge of the client to make sure it’s perfect
  • Collaborating with the studio team and freelancers, including challenging the creative
  • Presenting work to the client via Teams/Zoom or face to face
  • Collaborating with the Client Services team, working on some accounts closely with an Account Director, or others with only a little support
  • Supporting more junior members of the team, sharing your knowledge and being a great role model
  • Managing conflicting workloads and priorities, internally and with the client
  • Carrying out daily checks on our job management system to make sure jobs are on time, on track and on budget
  • Admin such as filing on our internal server or booking resource using our studio planner
  • Financially managing your own jobs, including managing revenue in the forecast, tracking outcosts carefully, through to raising and sending invoices each month.

Key behaviours:

  • Approachable and personable with an enthusiastic nature and overall drive for doing brilliant work
  • Positive, confident, self-motivated
  • Shows good initiative, asking for forgiveness not permission
  • Well organised, calm, and systematic, even under pressure
  • Clear and honest communication approach
  • Reliable, flexible, and cooperative
  • Team player, not a lone wolf

ThreeTenSeven and our ethos:

ThreeTenSeven is a brand transformation consultancy based in north Leeds. We’re leaders in brand for wellbeing, working across a range of sectors including health, wellness charity/not for profit and higher education.

We’ve been around for a long time, so we have great clients and a great reputation, but the management team is young(ish) and dedicated to do things differently. We support remote and flexible working, promote local businesses, champion women in the boardroom and LGBTQIA+ rights in the business. We work hard to be ethical and eco-active. We don’t believe in asking anyone to work for free, even at the start of their careers, so only offer paid Living Wage internships. Our event series, Openhouse, helps us find inspiration in the most remote corners, and helps us cook up new ideas and partnerships.

The creative industries can be busy and sometimes stressful and it’s true, we work hard, but we work just as hard at creating a fair, open culture, and welcome feedback from everyone to get us there. We talk about our wellbeing and encourage others to do the same. We take a flat structure approach to project assignments; it’s about the best mix of skills, as well as helping people to pursue their own interests and aspirations.

ThreeTenSeven believes in promoting inclusion and diversity and in helping combat systemic racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression. We try hard to use our voice and business to actively make a change in the wider world, not just in the creative world. That’s in who we choose to work with, in the way we speak to the world, our creative work, and the way we hire. We’re not perfect – who is? – but we’re getting better all the time.
