MATTA is an independent, forward-thinking, digital-first creative agency for sport. Our campaigns have won multiple awards, and we have been Agency of the Year several times over.

We build digital and social strategies, design and position brands, hatch big ideas, create advertising campaigns, produce content, and we have a design, video, and edit studio in-house. We’re based in London, but the majority of the work we do is global.

We are looking to recruit a top-flight social media planner to create in-depth strategies for our clients. You will be familiar with techniques for analysing existing audiences and potential new audiences across a variety of social media platforms - TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, Snapchat, X and YouTube. Access to relevant subscription services, such as GWI, Social Karma and others is a given to support this. Your understanding and analysis of these audiences at a macro to micro level - including engagement levels to different types of content - will hugely impact on the success of our campaigns.

In addition the discovery, application and effectiveness of relevant influencers will be part of your skillset and recommendations. For some clients, an output of your strategy work will be a vivid content calendar that can be executed either by MATTA or a third party.

Your strengths and experience:

To be successful in this role, you will have an encyclopaedic knowledge of different content examples, enabling you to cross-fertilise case studies from other sectors that have been successful in creating engagement, and apply these along a similar thematic positioning to any proposed creative platform we develop at MATTA.

You will also have a good understanding of the different formats and capabilities of the platforms as well as insight into future developments and innovation that may exist within them - which we may want to apply through subsequent executions of any future proposed strategy. You will likely be networked with key individuals at platform providers to maintain this knowledge.

You have extensive social media planning experience gained at a well respected integrated creative/ digital agency. Added to this, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, bundles of self-drive and proactivity, and the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic agency environment. If you love the worlds of brand marketing and sport then these would be major plus points and move you higher up the list.
