Studio Manager & Bookkeeper
Job Description
We're looking for a Studio Manager to join our team at HATO. The position will play a key role in the studio, managing the day to day operations with the focus of centralising communication between the store, publishing house, studio and finance.
The role will be based in our studio in Barbican, four days per week (Monday–Thursday).

Studio Administration
- General studio admin including managing IT, insurance, supplier contracts and general filing and organisation
- Studio maintenance including liaising with suppliers (building management, cleaners) and purchasing office supplies and resources
- Ensure good HR practice through process ownership of employee contracts, recruitment, policies and staff handbook and organise employee performance reviews
- Coordinating and scheduling team meetings
- Assist team leads on administration tasks and any events or project planning
- Book accomodation and travel for projects and events
- Prepare, edit and review documents, reports and letters
Financial Management
- Assist team with administrative tasks including preparing fee proposals and invoicing
- Manage online accountancy programme
- Review and file VAT returns
- Answer queries and liaise directly with clients
- Manage debtors and creditors ledgers
- Liaise with the accountant for Payroll and to prepare VAT returns and end of year accounts
- Manage cash flow forecast, process expenses, reconcile accounts and download finance reports
- Preparing financial reports, analysis and planning to support the financial health of the practice
Experienced Required
- Extensive knowledge of notion and google docs
- Extensive Xero knowledge or certifications
- Preparing VAT returns and using different VAT schemes.
- Bookkeeping
- You should also be proficient in using workplace communications systems such as slack.
- ACCA/AAT qualified or qualified by experience
