Freelance Designer

Barns Furr is an independent designer running a London-based design business.

I create modern and forward-thinking design, in disciplines ranging from print, digital design, branding to creative direction, for clients across the technology, design, art, sport, luxury, publishing and lifestyle sectors.

Over the course of 2022 and beyond, I am looking for a junior or middle-weight designer for extra help on small to medium sized projects. I am looking for someone who has availability throughout most weeks, who can be flexible with their time and can deliver good and considered work by the deadline.

The projects will vary from month to month, but you could be expected to work on projects such as:

- Creation of social media assets

- Creation of presentation decks

- Creation of digital assets for websites

Depending on the skill-level, there is also opportunity to work on:

- Creation of magazine layouts

- Creation of desktop and mobile designs for websites

- Creation of animated, digital assets for social media, websites, etc

Responsibilities:

- To support Barns in a range of ongoing projects.

- Ability to meet short timescales, whilst maintaining the highest standards

- To be comfortable juggling multiple projects at one time.

Requirements:

- Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is essential

- An understanding of social media platforms and how to create digital assets for them (mainly Instagram).

- Great eye for detail

- Great typesetting skills

- Considered layout skills

- Professionalism in communication

- Digital design experience

Bonus skills

- Figma

- After Effects

- Print design

- Experience creating illustrations and icons is a bonus
