WANTED: Magic person that makes everything positive and rosy

(AKA an Account Manager)

We’re hiring an Account Manager and not just ANY Account Manager. We’re looking for someone who wants to make every project better than the last, has problem solving skills second to none (and loves doing it), and uses their own personal magnifying glass for all the detail. Sound up your street? Carry on scrolling.

It’s exciting times for Curious! We are lucky to be able to say we work on fantastic brands with clients from all over the world – delivering creative we’re thoroughly proud of. And that’s all set to carry on growing, so we need to find the right person to join our talented team.

We love people who love

- Passion and enthusiasm
- Being proactive
- Delivering exceptional service
- Building relationships
- Bringing ideas to life
- Craft and attention to detail
- What’s going on in the industry
- To go that bit further and make a good project, a great one - To be ambitious
- Working with others and vice versa

What you’ll do

As an Account Manager at Curious you will support and drive our team and projects alongside our other Account Manager. Working to deliver digital, brand and communication projects for clients all over the world. You’ll work closely with the rest of the team to quote, plan and deliver projects, as well as helping resource and manage the team, alongside our Project Manager.

A big part of the job is communicating with clients, and the Curious team. You will need to build strong relationships across all levels, so you’ll need excellent communication skills and to be confident in talking to clients (luckily, they really are wonderful so don’t worry….!)

It will be your job to ensure that projects are delivered successfully on time and on budget, so you will need brilliant project management and organisation skills as well as the ability to be flexible when things change.

You’ll also work closely with designers and copywriters to help deliver projects and be confident enough to challenge the team if you feel that the project demands it.

Just checking that you can...

Work within a creative agency team to deliver great client service to your clients, building successful relationships and growing accounts.

Take an interest in and build knowledge of your client’s business so you can offer solutions and identify new business opportunities.

Actively manage all financial aspects of your projects and support the team in ensuring financials are kept up to date.

Assist the team to deliver the required elements for written proposals or presentations.

Work with the strategy team to develop clear, relevant and complete briefs for the design team, copywriters and other suppliers.

Provide relevant analysis to the Management team on project efficiencies, agree and manage remedial action where needed.

Working alongside the Project Manager, organise the right skills and resources to deliver projects – setting-up and monitoring project plans.

Check work before it’s sent to the client to ensure it’s error-free.

Alongside the Project Manager, manage internal meetings related to projects to ensure the team are well-briefed and any issues effectively resolved.

Prepare and circulate regular weekly Status reports and ensure all client meetings are followed with Contact Reports, with notes and actions circulated to clients and the Curious team.

Identify and manage problems quickly and smartly with the SAD to avoid conflict and to build long-term client loyalty.

Be proactive with clients even when projects aren’t live.

Got two years under your belt?

We would need you to have at least three years’ relevant experience in a brand design agency with experience in delivering digital projects. Production knowledge is a plus.

Curious about Curious?

Of course, we’re open to any questions you have about us. We feel sure you’ll have lots. To pre-empt a few...we’re a small, tight team and we genuinely love what we do. There are no scary people here, heads don’t roll and we don’t play the blame game. We care about creating an environment that brings out the best in people. We’re naturally curious and challenging and questioning which could explain why we attract wonderful projects, of all shapes, sizes and flavours, from all over the world.
