Freelance Junior Graphic Designer

Hali Publications Ltd (HPL) is the world’s leading publisher for carpets and textiles, with an unrivaled reputation built over 35 years. We produce two high-quality magazines, HALI and COVER, each published quarterly. In addition to these titles, we design books, catalogues, event materials, and other marketing assets.

We are seeking an eager-to-learn, detail-oriented, all-round graphic designer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Design layouts for both HALI and COVER magazines, adhering to established style guidelines.
• Create promotional materials, including brochures (print and digital), PowerPoint presentations, and other graphic-related marketing materials.
• Collaborate with the senior designer, editorial team, and advertising team to produce dynamic layouts and customer adverts.
• Ensure reliability and composure under strict production deadlines.

Requirements

• A strong interest in current design trends, typography, and magazine/book design.
• Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative when needed.
• Experience applying visual and typographic creativity within set frameworks.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Interest in digital graphic design; basic familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software is a plus.
• BA Degree in Graphic Design (or a related field) with 1–2 years of experience. Exceptional graduates will be considered based on portfolio potential.

Additional Information

This is a freelance position, requiring 2–3 days per week. Pay is subject to experience.
