Digital Designer (Midweight)
Job Description
We’re looking for a problem-solving, pixel loving digital designer to bring fresh eyes to our client’s websites, social media and other various digital design projects. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic digital designer with a passion for UI and UX who is looking to grow and develop within the role and expand our digital capabilities.
We create digital marketing and communications solutions for healthcare organisations, so it will be good if you have experience in the health industry but not a deal breaker if you don’t. We’re more interested in finding the right person. All you have to do is send us a bursting with projects (digital, social) that push creative boundaries and show innovative design thinking.
This role is currently remote, but the plan is to return our lovely Spitalfields office once we can work together safely post-COVID.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Training in Graphic Design, web design, UI design or equivalent experience
- Outstanding typography, layout and composition skills are essential
- Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD & ideally Sketch
- You will be responsible for producing high quality digital designs for the agency’s clients that include banners, social media, websites, emails
- Design website's visual imagery and ensure it's in line with company branding policy or the requirements of the client
- Identify and develop responsive design solutions that work across various touchpoints and meet the latest accessibility standards
- Being involved in the technical and graphical aspects of pages, you'll determine not only the look of the website but help determine how it works as well
- In collaboration with our in-house dev team, you will be required to collaborate with our web developers, graphic designers and UX designers to recommend best practices, usability, and functionality guidance
- A thorough understanding of software/programming language such HTML and JavaScript
- To keep abreast of the latest software technology and new design trends, learning new skills and sharing ideas
- Comfortable presenting to clients
Bonus skills:
- Ability to illustrate (nice-to-have)
- Interest in science/health sector
- Experience working in an agency environment
- Great knowledge of trivia for Tuesday Funday our creative weekly quizzes
Relationships:
- Ability to establish trust with co-workers as you grow in this position
- Works collaboratively with assigned teams
- Able to manage up to supervisor keeping them informed of workload
- The role also requires the training and support for other members of the team to improve their understanding of digital projects
